Each of UC Santa Cruz’s 10 colleges offers a unique lineup of events and programs—from cultural celebrations and college nights to open mics and wellness activities. Check your college calendar and the UCSC Events calendar regularly to stay involved and connected to your community.
College 9
The CoCurricular Programs Office hosts classes, retreats, and student-run events tied to College Nine’s global and international themes. From social justice workshops to intercultural retreats, students can participate in or help organize programs that build leadership and community.
Cowell College
Cowell students can enjoy a full range of events from open mic nights to talent shows, College Nights, and volunteer opportunities. Programming is student-centered, and Cowell welcomes your ideas and energy in shaping community life.
Crown College
Crown College offers a variety of social and educational programs throughout the year. Visit the Crown Programs Office or explore upcoming activities that bring together students from across campus.
John R. Lewis College
The CoCurricular Programs Office supports student-driven events connected to the college’s social justice and community themes. From retreats and classes to self-care workshops and student-led initiatives, there’s always something happening.
Kresge College
Kresge is home to many student-led organizations and programs including Kresge Parliament, City On A Hill Press (UCSC’s student newspaper), TWANAS Press, Writers House, Media & Society, and the Kresge Garden Co-op. Kresge’s Programs Office also hosts social events throughout the year including de-stress and arts & crafts events, casino nights, game nights, and workshops.
Merrill College
Merrill’s Programs Office oversees college-wide events like Moat Day, College Nights, dances, and workshops. Events reflect Merrill’s theme of cultural identity and global consciousness, and students are encouraged to help shape the calendar.
Oakes College
Oakes College offers a vibrant mix of social justice, cultural, and community events. From talent shows and drag balls to BBQs and basketball tournaments, Oakes events foster connection, identity, and fun.
Porter College
Porter’s creative spirit comes to life through concerts, art shows, lectures, and off-campus adventures. The Student Activities Office works with student leaders and faculty to support performances, exhibits, and interactive workshops.
Rachel Carson College
With an emphasis on sustainability and environmental justice, Rachel Carson College hosts events that reflect its theme—from zero-waste celebrations to educational programs and community dinners.
Stevenson College
The Stevenson Leadership & Activities Center (SLAC) offers events that connect with Stevenson’s values of ethics and leadership. Join the Student Council, attend College Nights, or apply for a leadership role to get more involved.
